With vacations to far-flung lands drifting further out of reach, cash-strapped workers have had to make do with less. As a result, the humble stay-at-home vacation has gained in popularity. Staycations often involve attending local cultural events, visiting theme parks, playing tourist in one's hometown, or camping in the backyard.
